ZKTeco Fingerprint Bridge for Web Applications

A Windows bridge that connects web applications to a ZKTeco USB fingerprint reader through a local API for fingerprint capture, enrolment, verification and identification.

Sep 2026

I built this fingerprint bridge to support the registration of pharmacists for AGM 2026. It connects a ZKTeco Live20R / SLK20R USB scanner to web applications through a local Windows API, enabling fingerprint capture, enrolment, verification and duplicate checks.

Built with C#, ASP.NET Core, React and TypeScript, the project includes encrypted local template storage, token-based API access and a Windows installer. Its reusable API allows other web applications to integrate with the scanner.

The project strengthened my skills in hardware integration, native SDKs, biometric data handling and Windows application packaging.
